Pastor Elisabeth Middelberg
Reverend Elisabeth Middelberg accepted the call as pastor of MCCRE and began serving in April of 2003.
She left her native land, the Netherlands, in 1984 to come to the United States . Here she completed her license as an MFCC in 1997 and finished her Masters degree in Theology at PSR in 2001.
She was ordained in 2001 and stepped forth as the first chaplain of Kaiser Permanente Hospital in 2001. Within the Spiritual Community she brings a dedication to help build communities of peace. "Its time" she says "Faith renews itself over and over and needs to find a new expression in the world. MCC churches are and ought to be on the forefront of redefining church, of redefining faith."
Elisabeth Middelberg lives with her partner Cindy Acker, who is the choir director, and two of their five children.
